Are prices real-time? expand_more
Prices are sourced from Yahoo Finance with a 10-minute cache. Yahoo updates BVC stocks (.CR) with the typical emerging market delay. For the BVC this is the standard — no public real-time institutional feed exists.
How does the system calculate USD gains? expand_more
It uses the historical BCV (Banco Central de Venezuela, Venezuela's central bank) exchange rate for each purchase date: USD Invested = Σ(bs_amount ÷ bcv_rate_on_purchase_date). Current value uses today's rate. This reflects the true dollar cost of your position, including the devaluation effect.
How do break-even alerts work? expand_more
The system calculates your break-even price per stock (total invested + fees ÷ net shares). A cron job checks every 30 minutes whether the price crossed that level and sends an automatic email with full position details.
Does it include Venezuelan macroeconomic indicators? expand_more
Yes. The platform includes the full historical BCV official exchange rate, currency gap visualization (BCV vs. parallel market), and the Indicators module calculates your portfolio's currency coverage against accumulated devaluation.
